Drawing homework~ Need to work on my design skill a lot more. A lot of the shapes are quite boring.

Also more texture WiP for the environment. Can't wait to start building the pieces and bring them to UDK. Getting tired looking at only flat image planes @_@!!!!

Finished up the rope as well as the metal. The base color for this texture sheet is done for now, going to move on to the rest before doing a finalize texture.

Drew some tanks using construction method for class.

Also finished sculpting the wood and put base color. Started with the ropes too, will probably sculpt a bit as well create a better look.

Zzz got sick and miss like half a day of work. Not to mention I keep on re-sculpting a lot of parts because I feel they aren't coming out right. Definitely feeling like I'm sucking a lot right now. Just have to push through I guess~

Finish sculpting the wall and baked out the maps needed for the texture. Just going to leave it base color for now and move on to sculpting the rest of the pieces.

Sculpted some bricks today for the wall and lay them out in Zbrush. Going to finish laying out the rest of the wall and then I will sculpt some more details like cracks going across several bricks. Also going to change up some of the bricks to avoid any repetition.

Did a tilling sci-fi wall. Tried using metal map instead of the usual spec. Not sure if I like it but will continue to learn both. Also tried some tessellation out, the wall on the left has it on. Can't really see much because I think it should be use to break silhouette while this wall only has a lot of indents.

Finished the ear. Got some good critique from the professor as well. It was good practice.

Started on the hay tilling texture for the environment since it was the only material I didn't really know how to make. After several failed tries in Zbrush tilling I finally got it to work out ok. Definitely a long way from being a finish texture but I'm happy how it starts off for now. Also going to use some alpha maps later to create even better looking silhouette for the roof.

Slow art day, had to help the folks with some errands. But I did learn how to do tilling texture to avoid seams in Zbrush. This will improve workflow for future projects~

Also a bit more WiP for the ear. Will finish it off tomorrow for class.

Had to fix the block out scale because it was a bit small. I exported it to UDK and I think it looks good scale wise for now.

Tried to to a rough stone tilling texture following PhilipK's work. It was harder than expected, still can't really get it to look right. Need to study more~

Refining the block-out for the environment. Going to start on the tilling textures now while working on the block-out to make sure the parts fit.

Did a clean marble tilling texture following PhillipK's material example. Had it under different lighting in Marmoset to see how it would look.

-> Due to my friend's advise I'm putting my previous environment on hold while I work on more relevant projects for GDC! Going to start and finish the house in the concept within two weeks~

A bunch of school works and the block-out for an environment that I'm working on. Inspired by The Banner Saga game.
