Here are the final for one of my class and reference. Looking back I probably should have chose something that I could find multiple references picture of. Also the cloth looks terrible =/
I went back to try and fix up the sci-fi floor spec map following PhillipK's tutorial. I tried to darken the other area where there were dust and rust. I also brighten up the scratches so it would catch the light. Doing a proper spec map is actually quite hard and I will need to do a lot more until I get a hang of it.
I'm going to move on to the next 3DMotive tutorial and starts on the AreanaNet environment art test as well.
